Cheddar Cheese Curds
    Produced daily and always fresh, Fromagerie St-Laurent cheddar curds have long since enjoyed a reputation for excellence. In order to satisfy our customers, we offer individual formats of 180 grams, as well as 380 gram and variable weight sizes.

    More than 1500 kilogrammes of this "cheddar en grain" is distributed every day to numerous points of sale in Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean. As well, several restaurants around the province of Québec use St-Laurent curds atop our famed "poutine" !

    Mild Cheddar Cheese

    Our hard-pressed, mild cheddar cheese is an integral part of the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean diet. It is delivered fresh each day, in various formats, including 400 g, 2.27 kg, 6 kg, and from 10 kg to 20 kg. Still the most popular brand of cheddar in the region, you should not settle for anything less than the real cheddar St-Laurent.
    Mild Marbled Cheddar
    The two coloured marbled cheddar is also a popular item. Perfect for adding a little colour to your meal, it is also ideal when grated over chips or nachos. A great taste sensation.
    Medium Cheddar
    Our medium cheddar is aged over a period varying from 6 months to as much as a year. Its taste is more pronounced than the fresh bricked cheddar.
    Old Cheddar - "Cheddar Fort"
    For those with that special taste for old cheddar, ours is aged and matured for 2 to 3 years! Its taste is even more pronounced than the medium cheddar.

    St-Laurent Butter
    St-Laurent butter is composed of rich, real cream. It contains 80 % fat, 16% humidity and 2 % salt. Our butter is A1 Canada approved and tastes great.
    St-Laurent Margarine
    Made with 100% soya oil, our margarine presents itself as a fine alternative to our butter. Made with poly-unsaturated fats, St-Laurent Margarine helps to decrease cholesterol levels and improve health.
    Parmesan Cheese
    Parmesan Cheese is made from a cheese curd paste that has been pressed and cooked. Sold in blocks, it greatly improves the quality of many dishes, including, of course, the many Italian favourites. Our parmasan is sold in all parts of Canada, the United States, and even in Europe in 1000 kg palettes!
    "Cheddar au Porto"
    This very special cheese is aged over a period of 2 to 3 years. Our expert cheesemakers flavour the cheese with port wines. A gustatory sensation for connaisseurs of fine cheeses.
    Fine Herbs Cheddar
    This variation of our famous cheddar incorporates a variety of fine herbs to produce a new taste appreciated by true gourmet cheese lovers.
    Gouda
    Gouda cheese is made from a paste that has been pressed but not cooked. It is a mild cheese who recipe originate in Holland.
    "Tortillon" or Cheese Twists
    Soaked in brine, our "tortillions" are soaked in brine, giving them a slightly salty taste which remains a Québecois favourite.
    Brick Cheese
    As the name suggests, Brick cheese is a also a hard-pressed cheese, molded out of a paste but not cooked. Though similar in appearence, its taste is lighter than the typical cheddar.
    Swiss Cheese
    Have you ever wondered why Swiss cheese is full of holes? They are caused by bacteria present in the starter cultures, which ferment and release gases which cannot escape the molds and get trapped at certain points in the cheese. These holes are also called the eyes of the cheese. This cheese is delicious melted or at the heart of your favourite sandwich.
